Michael Townsen Hicks is a lecturer in philosophy of science and technology at the University of Glasgow.

Michael has previously held research positions at the University of Oxford, the University of Cologne, and the University of Birmingham.

His research focuses on the way we use scientific theories, especially theories in physics, to understand what is possible, as well as the way we communicate about scientific theories and novel technologies.
