University of Glasgow, 2nd-3rd December 2024

Venue: One A The Square, University of Glasgow
The meeting will start with lunch at noon on Monday 2nd December, with a poster session and conference dinner in the evening. It will finish with lunch on Tuesday 3rd December.

This informal and friendly meeting brings together the influenza research community at all career stages from across the UK and Ireland, to present and discuss ongoing work. Sessions will cover a wide range of influenza research.

This year’s invited speakers will deliver a panel discussion on the topic ‘‘Viruses in the Spotlight: communicating about outbreaks.’ The panellists are Dr Fiona Lethbridge (Senior Press Manger, Science Media Centre), Prof Antonia Ho (Professor of Infectious Diseases, University of Glasgow) and Faye Watson (Public Engagement with Research Manager, College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, University of Edinburgh).

To make the meeting as accessible as possible, costs will be limited to the minimum needed to cover costs. The timing is intended to allow new students to attend.

Abstract submission has now closed. Presenters will be contacted in the second week of November, after which a programme will be circulated to all delegates.

All tickets for the meeting have now been sold. Delegates are reminded that they will need to arrange their own travel and accommodation,

If you would like to be added to the reserve list for tickets, or if you have any other questions, please contact Edward.Hutchinson@glasgow.ac.uk
