Dmitry Vodennikov is a poet, an essayist and a radio presenter. He graduated from the department of philology of Moscow State Pedagogical University. Dmitry is an author of seven books of poetry. He writes essays and columns for several Russian newspapers and journals. For a number of years he has been hosting radio shows about contemporary Russian literature including “Notes from a Neophyte,” “From One’s Own Angle” (Своя колокольня), and “Poetic Minimum.”

In 2002, he was named one of the ten best living Russian poets. He is considered the leader of New Sincerity movement in Russian literature.
