CRCEES Funding Call to all Postgraduate Taught and Postgraduate Research Students, and Advanced Undergraduate (i.e. honours, 3rd or 4th year) students attending CRCEES’ partner universities Universities of: Aberdeen; Durham; Edinburgh; Glasgow; Newcastle; Nottingham; St. Andrews; and Strathclyde
All postgraduate students and advanced UG (i.e. honours, 3rd and 4th year) students within CRCEES’ partner universities may apply to CRCEES for funding to go abroad for specialist language training and cultural activities. Students must demonstrate an interest in pursuing further study in the language or culture in question. This could stretch to helping fund fieldwork as long as there is some element of language and cultural training involved. The CRCEES area studies field of Russian, Central and East European Studies, includes Central Asia and the Caucuses.
The CRCEES funding application form is attached. If you have any questions about the application process please contact the CRCEES Administrator, Mrs Ann Mulholland– Ann.Mulholland@glasgow.ac.uk
Please detail all expenses ( airfare, accommodation expenses etc) – you should offer as realistic an estimate as possible. In some cases it may be possible to award a bursary of £1,000 per month. The amount of funding allocated to you will depend upon the nature of your activities as well as the demand for funding from other students within the CRCEES network. We are seeking to support as many students as possible, and would hope to cover as much of your expenses as we can.
Funding deadline: 31 July 2012. [Note: the activity must take place between 1 August 2012 and 31 March 2013.]
