On June 13-15, postgraduate students in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies will host “Revisiting the Periphery: A Three Day Festival of Film and Theatre from the Soviet Era”.
On June 13-15, postgraduate students in the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies will host “Revisiting the Periphery: A Three Day Festival of Film and Theatre from the Soviet Era”. The festival is generously funded by The Partridge Bequest, The Centre for Russian, Central and Eastern European Studies (CRCEES) and the Department of Russian and Slavonic Studies at the University of Nottingham.
The festival will encourage participants to explore notions of periphery and provincialism in Russia and Eastern Europe during the Soviet era, and brought together students and members of staff across many departments in the University of Nottingham, Postgraduate students in Russian and Slavonic studies from other universities across the UK, and the wider general public.
