Assessing Accession and CSIG (Loughborough University) are pleased to announce that a one day workshop focusing on the Central and East European states and the European Court System will take place on 14th November 2009.

Individual papers to be presented will focus on a range of issues related to the relationship between the EU court system and CEE member states, either considering the CEE as a bloc or using one CEE country as a case study.

A keynote address will be given by Michal Bobek (European University Institute) and is entitled: "The Importance of Being A Textualist - A Lesson in Central European Judicial History".

For more details about the lecture, please contact either of the event organisers Eamonn Butler (University of Glasgow) and Martin Mik (University of Loughborough), or visit the Assessing Accession website.
