Toni Morrison at Glasgow

Toni Morrison, the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author of such novels as Beloved, Tar Baby, Sula, Jazz and Paradise, visited the University of Glasgow in May 1998, where she met with students and staff for a reception in the University's Melville Room.

Following the reception Professor Morrison gave a reading and led a discussion of her work before a capacity audience in the Bute Hall. "Her presence filled the room," commented one student after the event.
