Professor Andrew Tobin appointed founding Director of £113 million Research Hub
The University is pleased to announce that Professor Andrew Tobin, Project Co-Sponsor for the University’s new Research Hub, will become its founding Director following an internal appointment process.
Reporting to the Senior Vice-Principal, Prof Tobin will chair the Research Hub Steering Group and be accountable to the Senior Management Group for delivery of the Research Hub vision as approved by the University Court.
Prof Tobin retains his current responsibilities as Professor of Molecular Pharmacology in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Science and as leader of the Technologies Touching Life theme in the Research Hub. The appointment will be for three years in the first instance.
Prof Tobin said: “I am delighted to have been asked to contribute to this fantastic project that underlines the commitment of the University to ground-breaking collaborative research across disciplines.”
