Short Description
This course offers students the opportunity to explore aspects of professional practice relevant to Theatre Studies graduates wishing to pursue a career in the arts sector. It seeks to support students to identify, reflect critically on, and develop skills to enhance opportunities in line with developing a career in the arts. This is achieved through critical inquiries into the different pathways into the sector as explored in a series of interactions with relevant industry professionals, and a project-based approach to developing specific skills and graduate attributes.

Project Presentation (15 mins) - 30%

Course Aims
This course aims to:
■ Explore and understand the different pathways into the cultural sector
■ Consider and establish post-university goals
■ Develop skills which are transferable to a variety of work patterns and places
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
■ Work effectively to research, write / produce and present information creatively and engagingly for targeted audiences
■ Analyse concepts of early career professional practice and critically engage with a variety of resources that explore different approaches
■ Reflect thoughtfully and critically on your personal, professional and creative development
■ Articulate your development of graduate attributes
■ Produce work that demonstrates your ability to analyse, organise and present information
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
