Hear from our online MSc Education graduate, Sharmeen

What has it meant to you to obtain this degree?

I always wanted to get back to my studies. I took a break for my children. I had 2 kids and then there was a break for my career and then I got back to studies. I was looking for a programme, an online programme, I searched then I landed into Glasgow’s website and the programme seemed perfect and I’m glad I took the chance.

How did you find navigating online studies while maintaining your career and having a family?

I found balancing online studies overwhelming, challenging and every bit worth it!

What would you say to anyone who is thinking about pursuing this programme of study to follow in your footsteps?

My advice is to not to think anymore. This is the place to be, and you want to do this!

Tell us about when you leave here today, what are your aspirations for the future?

I want to be better what I was doing before. I’ve learnt so much and want to apply all of that to my actual career and to see the world in that perspective that I’ve learned.

What does it mean to you to be a graduate of the University of Glasgow and to be part of this global community?

To be a graduate of the University of Glasgow, I don’t think I can explain it in words. But it means so much to me. It was a wonderful experience in so many different ways.

How have you found the experience of being on campus?

The first time I stepped into the campus is the day I’m graduating. So, it’s emotional and I’m here with my family. I loved it. I love being part of it.
