Short Description
Students will be supervised and guided to produce a high quality dissertation.
Timetable
Students will have online live meetings supervisors as and when required by mutual agreement and be in contact regularly by email.

Assessment
1: A 7000 word dissertation on any topic related to Critical Care practice with reference to the role of leadership (90%)
2. An online oral presentation of your dissertation (10%)
Course Aims
The aim of this course is to develop the students' ability to critically apply state-of-the-art knowledge and understanding of aspects of Critical Care. The standard of the written work produced at the end this course is expected of a quality that could be published in a peer reviewed journal.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
■ Synthesise and critically evaluate the evidence base in relation to a topic in critical care with reference to the role of leadership
■ Demonstrate intellectual independence
■ Communicate effectively with their peers and supervisors using appropriate methods
■ Demonstrate originality and creativity in the application of knowledge and understanding in the practice of critical care and leadership within this field
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
