Short Description
The course introduces students to the fundamentals of HR Managements and Organisational Behaviour by using the science regarding people and organisations. It exposes students to practical tools as well as to cutting edge trends that will facilitate them to successfully lead and manage teams and organisations.
Timetable
The course will be delivered on a blended mode that includes a series of seminars, workshops and active learning experiences over 25 hours in Semester 1. Sessions and activities will help students building their understanding and skills related to people and organisations.

Course Aims
This course aims to develop critical understanding and skills regarding emotions, cognitions and behaviours of individuals, groups and organisations important to leading successful teams and organisations, as well as the rationale behind human resources management processes and decisions.
Intended Learning Outcomes of Course
By the end of this course students will be able to:
1. Apply fundamental concepts from psychology, organisational behaviour and human resource management to critically analyse and identify business and management issues.
2. Critically utilise tools, frameworks and evidence (data) to evaluate issues, their potential solutions, merits and drawbacks concerning the strategy and management of people in organisations.
3. Critically assess challenges pose by geopolitical, ecological, technological and other megatrends retaining to HRM and its ethical implications.
4. Self-reflect on their learning process and formulate a plan to enhance their own leadership competencies.
Minimum Requirement for Award of Credits
Students must submit at least 75% by weight of the components (including examinations) of the course's summative assessment.
