University of Wrocław

During a term at the University of Wrocław for the programme, students engage in a variety of courses.

They start with Representations of Children and Childhood in Film, exploring how children and childhood are depicted in various cinematic contexts. International Children's and Family Film examines global perspectives on children's and family films, analysing cultural differences and common themes. Film Culture of Children's Cinema delves into the history, development, and impact of children's cinema as a cultural phenomenon. The course Children's Literature for a Diverse World, delivered by Glasgow, looks at global perspectives and themes of inclusion and representation in children's literature. Finally, the placement with a film festival provides hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, engage with industry professionals, and build valuable networks.

This term equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for successful careers in the cultural and film sectors.
