Tilburg University

During a term at Tilberg University for the CLMCE programme, students engage in a variety of courses.

Children's Literature in Translation examines the challenges and strategies involved in translating children's books across different languages and cultures. Children's Literature in Context: Reception and Reviewing focuses on how children's literature is received, critiqued, and reviewed by various audiences. Canon Formation explores the development and significance of literary canons, particularly in children's literature. The course Children's Literature for a Diverse World, delivered by Glasgow online, looks at global perspectives and themes of inclusion and representation in children's literature. Finally, the placement with publishers, libraries, schools, or literary institutions provides hands-on experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and build professional networks.

This term equips students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, preparing them for successful careers in the literary sector.
