Individual Needs Support

Financial Support for Students with Individual Needs

EDUMaH has received ERASMUS MUNDUS ‘individual needs’ funding from the EU to support successful applicants with long-term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments.

This is available to both EMJM scholarship students and EMJM self-/other-funded students. The funding total for the four CLMCE intakes (in 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027) is 120,000 euro and students, who are within the ‘individual needs’ group, can apply for support funding of over 3,000 euro and under 60,000 euro.Funding may be used as a contribution towards adapting environments and/or technology, services, assistance by third persons, additional travel/transportation costs or technology.

Please note that apportioning these funds will be at the discretion of the University of Glasgow’s ‘Inclusion Team’ and may not cover the total amount of the costs for your request but will cover a substantial portion of the costs.

Please add a supplementary statement to your application stating if you are within this ‘individual needs’ group and describe what adaptations, services or travel/transportation support you require to enable you to study on CLMCE. You will also be required to submit a statement from a professional (consultant, doctor, psychiatrist, optician, audiologist, etc.) confirming your condition/needs.

Further details can be found in the ERASMUS+ programme guide https://erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu/document/erasmus-programme-guide-2022-version-2 and key wording from the 2022 ERASMUS+ programme guide is included here:

NB: costs below the lowest rate (i.e., less than EUR 3 000) will not be eligible for additional support and will have to be covered by the contribution to the institutional costs of the EMJM or by other funding sources of the beneficiary institutions.
