Qualifications criteria
The successful applicant will have a first or upper second class degree (or equivalent experience) in psychology, biology, mental health or a related discipline. Previous experience working in mental health-related research and/or practice would be welcome.

Residence criteria
The studentship provides funding for tuition fees, a stipend and laboratory expenses.
The Canmore Trust grant provides tuition fees and stipend of at least £19,236 (UKRI rate 2024/25).
The studentship is only open to UK Home students
To be classed as a home student, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Be a UK National (meeting residency requirements), or
- Have settled status, or
- Have pre-settled status (meeting residency requirements), or
- Have indefinite leave to remain or enter
