Research title: Ownership and cultural constraints: the pain point of digital innovation in Chinese newspaper organisations

Research Summary

This study aims at conducting a cultural analysis of existing Chinese industrial newspaper organisations to understand the causes of their weak capabilities of innovation. This research adopts a multiple-case study on three China-based newspaper firms to explore their collective cultural phenomenon to understand the role of media ownership in shaping cultural constraints in the ongoing media innovation.
