Sylwia's research focuses on unfair prejudice petitions as statutory means of protecting minority shareholders in the wider context of minority shareholders' protection mechanisms. Sylwia is conducting an empirical study of unfair prejudice petitions in the jurisdictions of Scotland as well as England and Wales.

Research and Education
Sylwia started her PhD in October 2024.
She completed the LLM in Corporate and Financial Law at the University of Glasgow for which she was awarded the prize for the most oustanding student with the highest Grade Point Average in the session 2017-2018.
She holds LLB (Honours) and the Diploma in Professional Legal Practice from the University of Glasgow.
Practice
Sylwia is a corporate associate at Shoosmiths in Scotland.
She is a dual-qualified solicitor in Scotland as well as England and Wales.
