Research title: Exploring the Art-informed Approach for People Living with Dementia: Arts on Prescription in Taiwan
Research Summary
My study aims to explore the role of art-informed approaches in dementia care and education in Taiwan, focusing on the practices of art-health practitioners. Drawing upon the concept of pluriversal literacies (Perry, 2023), this study examines ‘literacies of care’ which encompass the interpretation, representation and practice of care in dementia healthcare and mental wellbeing aspects. The anticipated outcome of this research is the establishment of a community of art-health practitioners who are empowered to develop their teaching methods and curriculum in the context of art education and dementia care.
