Research title: Place under threat: Mapping the Lived Experience of Young Palestinians
Research Summary
My PhD project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how spatial threats impact the emotional connections, geographical perceptions and memories of Palestinians in relation to place in historic Palestine and the diaspora. Through examining the lived experience of young Palestinians and focusing on Israel's mechanisms of control, this project explores how everyday threats shape lived experiences of place and aims to uncover the multiple layers of people’s sense of place.
