Research title: Place under threat: Mapping the Lived Experience of Young Palestinians
Research Summary
My PhD project aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how spatial threats impact the emotional connections, geographical perceptions, and memories of Palestinians in relation to place, both in historic Palestine and the diaspora. By examining the lived experiences of young Palestinians and focusing on the effects of Israel's mechanisms of control, this project explores how everyday threats shape indigenous communities' lived experiences of place and aims to uncover the multiple layers of their sense of place.
