Research title: 5th Generation District Heating and Cooling for Holistic Energy System Decarbonisation: Novel System Designs and Detailed Technoeconomic Assessment

Research Summary

Assessing the opportunities of district heating and cooling networks with decentralised energy substations for a holistic energy system decarbonisation. A holistic system facilitates sector coupling by integrating the electricity network to the thermal network, waste heat utilisation and energy recycling between heating and cooling demands of prosumers (producers and consumers).
