Research Summary
Research: Enhancing Immersive Virtual Interactions with Real-time Behaviour-Driven Virtual Agents
I'm interested in developing and evaluating gaze behaviours in virtual agents within VR. As part of the research, I'll be exploring:
- (1) using saliency mapping to drive agent’s gaze towards high-interest areas in real-time
- (2) user experience evaluation to study how varying gaze patterns and behaviors influence user perception, immersion and social presence during interactions.
The aim of my research is to design more natural and socially aware agents by integrating intelligent gaze behaviors, helping to improve how virtual agents engage with users in dynamic VR environments.
