Research title: Micro-optics: from optical wormholes to medical applications
Research Summary
My research focuses on the development of optical components used to control light in (more or less) desired ways. This includes work on a range of novel pixelated spectacles which may have the potential to help a number of eye conditions worldwide.
In contrast, the more “fun” but probably less required work consist of investigating transformation optical devices with the intent to create, theoretically, optical wormholes, Janus devices, and new methods for invisibility cloaking.
