Research title: Threats, feeding ecology and habitat use of stingrays in Mozambique.
Research Summary
Research interests
My research interests are primarily concerned with the highly diverse stingray species in the western Indian ocean. I am using a multi-disciplinary approach to understand the relationships between the ecosystem and anthropogenic threats to the abundance of some of the rarest (and the most abundant) stingray species in the world.
Current research
1. Offshore fishing vessel activity in Mozambique
2. Use and reliance upon ray species by fishers in Mozambique
3. Stingray food web and feeding ecology in Mozambique
4. Habitat use and movement of stingrays in Mozambique
