Research title: Human Freedom and Submission in Jonathan Edwards

Research Summary

My research focuses on theological anthropology in the long 18th century, looking specifically at the use of the image of God and its development following the Protestant Reformation. Theologians I am looking at include Richard Baxter, Isaac Watts, and John Wesley, as well as their theological sources (including but not limited to Augustine, Aquinas, Luther, and Calvin).
