Research title: Biomimetical neuromodulation in epilepsy: neuromorphic signal generators and bioactive polymers as a tool to enhance DBS

Research Summary

I work on biomimetical techniques to increase neuromodulation efficacy and reduce host's immune reaction. I adress this from two perspectives:

  • Artificial Intelligence and Dynamical Systems Modelling to generate syntetic brain signals for neuromodulation
  • Bioactive and adative polymers for neural probes coating

I am part of the Microelectronics Lab (meLAB) where I also help with in vitro cell culture for biocompatibility assays
