Professor Sreevas Sahasranamam has won the inaugural Management Publication of the Year Award in the Sustainable Futures category, awarded by the Chartered Management Institute, British Academy of Management and Chartered Association of Business Schools.
The award celebrates translating management research into practice and policy by making it more accessible. Professor Sahasranamam received the award for his collection of blogs predominantly published on platforms like World Economic Forum and The Conversation.
His blogs covered themes including social entrepreneurship; technology for social impact; rural entrepreneurship; global entrepreneurship; innovation ecosystems and digital commons-based ecosystems.
Professor Sreevas Sahasranamam, of the Adam Smith Business School, said: "It is particularly exciting to receive this award as it celebrates the translation of management research to policy and practice. I had never imagined a series of blogs would be considered for any award category, but having such a recognition is really motivating to engage with alternate modes of outreach for research to make real-world impact.
“This award is extra special as the judging panel constituted of journalists, policy makers and management practitioners such as Andrew Hill, Senior Business Writer from the Financial Times, Rt Hon Robert Halfon, Former Minister of Skills and Higher Education and Byron Dixon OBE the Founder and CEO of Microfresh."
The awards are a collaboration between the Chartered Management Institute, the British Academy of Management and the Chartered Association of Business Schools. They recognise impactful and forward-thinking business and management publications, including books, blogs, reports and podcasts.
The Award event took place in the British Library, London.
