The University of Glasgow has been ranked 101-150th in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Reputation Rankings 2025.

The THE World Reputation Rankings are the definitive list of the world’s most prestigious Universities, as chosen by senior, published academics around the globe. Universities are ranked based on the quality of their research and teaching.

Rachel Sandison, Deputy Vice Chancellor (External Engagement) and Vice Principal (External Relations) said, “Achieving our highest-ever THE World Reputation Ranking is an incredible success for the University of Glasgow, which further exemplifies our reputation as a truly world-changing institution.

“It is also a testament to the collective efforts of our #TeamUofG community and your unwavering commitment to excellence, which continues to inspire and elevate our global standing.”

The THE World Reputation Rankings have been relaunched for 2025 and are the world’s largest invitation-only academic opinion survey. The methodology has been updated to increase the number of methods used to determine the reputation of academic institutions.
