Launch of the Creative Launch Fund, Nov 2024

Following the successful launch of the Creative Launch Fund this month (Nov 13), the University’s Innovation team can announce that applications are now open!

The fund is aimed at researchers in Arts and Humanities who are looking for new ways to extend the reach and impact of their research.

If your research shows possibilities to access different funding opportunities and to deliver impact at scale, this fund could be for you.

The Creative Launch Fund will provide up to £10k per project for six months depending on the stage of the project as well as activities that are being funded.

You don’t need to have a detailed idea or to have started an innovation project; just the willingness to explore new avenues to apply your research.

Morven Fraser-Walther, University IP & Innovation Manager, said: “In the Creative Launch Fund, we are looking for projects that have the potential for creating impact at scale, whether that be through changing a community, an industry, or a nation.

“Training in innovation specific to arts & humanities researchers will be provided as well as access to 1-2-1 support for your project.”

The deadline for applications is January 20, 2025 at midday. For more information, inspirational projects that were funded last year, and to access the application form, please see our webpage.

If you missed the launch event or you are looking for more information on the fund, come along to an online application workshop on December 4 (2pm - 3pm): Zoom link.

If you would like to discuss your application, eligibility, or a project you think might be supported by the fund, please get in touch with morven.fraser-walther@glasgow.ac.uk
