Professor Yeatman said: “I’ve been an admirer of Glasgow’s science and engineering schools for many years, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the College and contribute to its further successes and evolution.”

Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, said: “I’m really delighted to announce Professor Eric Yeatman’s appointment as Vice-Principal and Head of the College of Science & Engineering. I’m looking forward to welcoming Eric to Glasgow and working closely with him as a member of our Senior Management Group.

“Professor Yeatman’s considerable experience and expertise both as an academic and a leader will help us build on the successes of the last decade, which were led by Professor Dame Muffy Calder.

“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank Muffy for her dedicated leadership as Head of College since 2015. Her guidance has helped the College go from strength to strength in research and teaching, and I’m delighted that she will continue her academic work at the University.”
