Additional four awards bring total to 20
The University of Glasgow is delighted to announce it has achieved four new Athena SWAN awards in recognition of its ongoing commitment to gender equality for staff and students, bringing the current total to an impressive 20 awards across the University.
The awards, made by Advance HE (formerly the Equality Challenge Unit or ECU), include two Silver Awards for the Institute of Cancer Sciences and the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Sciences (College of MVLS); and two Bronze Athena SWAN awards for Adam Smith Business School (College of Social Sciences) the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (College of Science & Engineering).
Professor Jill Morrison, Gender Equality Champion for the University, said: “I am very proud of the advances the University of Glasgow continues to make in promoting equality and advancing the careers of staff across disciplines. The University aims to value, nurture and support all staff and we shall continue to work to promote gender equality across all our Colleges.”
