Chinese universities delegation visits Glasgow

The University of Glasgow hosted the visit of around twenty university Presidents and Vice Presidents from Chinese universities last week.
The University of Glasgow hosted the visit of around twenty university Presidents and Vice Presidents from Chinese universities under the auspices of SAFEA (Chinese State Administration of Foreign Affairs) linked to the Ministry of Education in China last week.
All three universities in Glasgow contributed to this study tour which involved, amongst many topics, discussion of research and teaching strategy and policy, research and teaching evaluation, quality enhancement and assurance, Scottish universities in a European setting, research pooling and interdisciplinary research, and student employability.
The Chinese Universities represented on the visit were: Tsinghua University; Zhejiang University; Beijing University of Chemical Technology; Central University of Finance and Economics; Beijing Forestry University; Communication University of China; Beijing Language and Culture University; China Central Academy of Fine Arts; Tongji University; Nanjing University; Jiangnan University; Huazhong Normal University; Huazhong Agricultural University; Southwestern University of Finance and Economics; Chang'an University; Lanzhou University; Hainan University; Tianjin Foreign Studies University and Zhejiang University of Technology.
The delegation also enjoyed guided tours of the Library, the Fraser Building and the Hunterian Art Gallery.
