The Cultural Mission of St Petersburg to Scotland will visit the University, TOMORROW, 12 September, 11am - 12.30pm, Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre.
The Cultural Mission of St Petersburg to Scotland will visit the University, TOMORROW, 12 September, 11am - 12.30pm, Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre.
All staff and students are welcome to attend this event in the Hunterian Art Gallery Lecture Theatre.
The delegation will be welcomed to the University by Vice Principal Anton Muscatelli, and Ewen Smith, Director of Hunterian Art Gallery and Museum. Lesley Richmond, Director of Archive Services, will talk about historical ties between Russia and GU. The School of Slavonic, Central and East European Studies (SSCEES) will be represented by Margaret Tejerizo and Rebecca Kay who will make an address. Richard Berry, Director of the new Centre for Russian, Central and East European Studies will also speak.
The St.Petersburg delegation consists of the representatives of the St.Petersburg City Administration headed by Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher Education Mr. Alexander Viktorov, and participants of the cultural programme and representatives of Scotlinks Society. Mr.Viktorov will give an opening speech.
There will be an electronic presentation - 'Virtual tour of St.Petersburg'.
