An impressive four Glasgow University students and one staff member competed in this year's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne
An impressive four Glasgow University students and one staff member competed in this year's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. Student Rebecca Cooke won a gold medal swimming in the 800m freestyle and a silver medal in the 400m individual medley. Staff member Hayley Haining achieved a respectable ninth position in the Marathon, student Ross Campbell scored 4 points in a 67-57 basketball victory against India and Kirsty McGuire came in thirteenth place in the women's pole vault on Thursday.
David Mansouri was unlucky after being knocked out of the men's hockey competition following a 3-1 defeat to England.
