The First of the Annual Alexander Lazarev Lectures will be given on Wednesday 15 February 2006 by Dr Andrei Rogatchevski of the University of Glasgow Slavonic Studies Section
The First of the Annual Alexander Lazarev Lectures will be given on Wednesday 15th by Dr Andrei Rogatchevski of the Slavonic Studies Section of the University of Glasgow School of Modern Languages and Cultures. The lecture is titled 'Socialist Realism in Music and Alfred Schnittke's Opera 'Life with an Idiot'' (1991)' and will take place at 6.30 pm in R. 201 (Lecture Theatre) of the Sir Charles Wilson Building.
Alexander Lazarev, Honorary Professor of the Slavonic Studies Section and renowned Russian conductor, will attend this lecture and there will be a small reception at 7.30 in R. 101 of the Charles Wilson Building for those who would like to meet him. All are welcome to attend.
Mr Lazarev will be conducting the RSNO in Edinburgh on Friday 17th February and in Glasgow on Saturday 18th February.
