The Reverend Professor Murdo Ewen Macdonald, who joined the University to teach Practical Theology in the late sixties, and remained for almost 20 years, died on 6 June, 2004, aged 89.

After being awarded the Bronze Star for his efforts during the war, the Reverend Professor lectured in Theology and Preaching in America, Canada and Australia. Finally settling in Glasgow, he became an admired and respected member of the University's Theology Department.

There will be a funeral service at Glasgow Crematorium, Maryhill on Monday 14 June with a Memorial Service to be held on the same day at 2.30pm in Wellington Church, University Avenue, Glasgow.
