Star studded auction for the Leukaemia Research Fund Centre
Some of the biggest names in sport and entertainment have pledged their support for the Leukaemia Research Fund Centre campaign. David Coulthard, Michael Owen, Victoria Beckham and JK Rowling have all donated signed items to be auctioned at the Auchrannie Country House Hotel on Sunday 8th August.
The event is being organised by Arran-based Liz Armit who pledged to raise funds for the project when her husband, James, was diagnosed with myeloma.
More than £1.9m has already been pledged of the £2.25m campaign total, taking us one step closer to making the Centre a reality. If you'd like to support the auction by heading down to Arran for the day, simply contact Liz at liz24@onetel.net.uk.
Don't forget that this year's LRF Glasgow Bikeathon will be held on Sunday 29th August ヨ just contact the Development and Alumni Office for entry info or email campaign@gla.ac.uk.
For more details please contact the University Press Office on 0141 330 3535.
