October Week Big Drawing Days at the Hunterian Art Gallery
The Big Draw is a UK-wide initiative set up by The Campaign for Drawing which is aimed at getting everyone in the country drawing - whatever their age, experience or inspiration - from 16-23 October 2002.
The Hunterian Art Gallery has organised a series of events for kids aged 5-14 years during the October Week (14-18 October). Using different media each day they will offer a range of drawing activities. These events at the Hunterian are only one of hundreds of events taking place all over the UK from the Isle of Skye to Brighton Pier with venues ranging from national galleries to the smallest rural museum.
14 Oct: TAKE A LINE FOR A WALK: A new way to explore abstract art.
15 Oct: NAME A DAY: Use the letters of your name to create images.
16 Oct: DRAWING THROUGH SPACE: 3d design workshop.
17 Oct: CHEEKY CHALK CHARACTERS: Exploring portraits using pastels.
18 Oct: SHADES OF BLACK: Shading and shadows with charcoal
10am - 12pm for 5-7 years
OR 1pm - 3pm for 8-13 years.
£3 per session.
