A one-day conference on Muslim Women and the Law was held in the University of Glasgow on Thursday 19 April.
A one-day conference on Muslim Women and the Law was held in the University of Glasgow on Thursday 19 April by the University's Centre for the Study of Islam. The conference is one of a programme of events being held by the Faculty of Divinity to mark the University's 550th anniversary.
The Director of the Centre, Dr Mona Siddiqui, will open the conference with a lecture on: "Victims or victors: Issues for women in classical Islamic law".
