What influenced your decision to be a part of this project the most?
This project gives us a chance to streamline the registration and enrolment process, reduce student anxiety surrounding course choice, and ensures that the administrators have greater overview and control over the enrolment process. Also, the opportunity to review and analyse data to understand how each area engages in this process was a compelling factor; how can we make things easier for everyone and improve the student experience?
What are you most looking forward to tackling during this project?
I’m looking forward to developing a robust system that allows administrators to collate student choices and allocate spaces in courses much more easily. This means designing user-friendly tools and resources that help both staff and students navigate what can be an overwhelming process.
What do you think will be the biggest challenges in this project?
There are several stakeholders, each with differing needs and expectations, and it will be challenging to ensure fairness and transparency in the process while addressing each of these requirements. Additionally, MyCampus is a complex system, so encouraging administrators to engage in a system they find complicated may present a challenge; we must ensure that they have comprehensive support documentation and evaluate their training needs effectively.
