General resources:
- Cycle-friendly award
- Calendar of road cycling events all over Scotland
- The Bike Station - This is an organisation that promotes sustainable transport and take in used bikes for recycling!
- Bike for Good - This charity refurbishes bikes and teaches the community how to cycle and maintain bikes. You can also find second hand bikes and spare parts here!
Route planning tools:
- Sustrans
- Komoot - You can add places you would like to visit along your route, and will be given a breakdown of the surface types (e.g. cycle path, state road). You can change your fitness level for adjustments to estimated time.
- The Train Line - The easiest way to get around if you want to go far with your bike is by train, use Trainline to plan and book your trips.
