Hire a picnic blanket from the UofG Library

You can now borrow more than just books from the main University of Glasgow Library!

The Estates Directorate is kicking off this spring with a picnic blanket hire scheme for students and colleagues.

How it works:

  • Head over to the main desk at the UofG Library.
  • Exchange your student or staff card OR £10 in cash to hire your picnic blanket.
  • Return to the Library within 24 hours, and get your student or staff card or deposit back.

Although free of charge, the system requires a deposit to cover the cost of the blanket if it damaged or lost.

Get ready for a night of art, activities, and connecting with like-minded students. Embrace your creative side at our craft table, get back to nature with our gardening activity, or take a deeper dive into the collection on one of our guided tours. Refreshments will be served!

Tickets cost £5 and can be booked through Eventbrite.
