Last week, the SRC held its annual Spring Elections, in which all students had the opportunity to run for representative positions across a variety of academic and welfare-related roles. This is also when the student body elects the new Sabbatical Officers, who will form the SRC Executive for 2025–26.

The elections saw extremely high engagement, with 4,228 students casting their votes – the highest turnout since 2017 and the second highest in 15 years.

Duncan Calvert (centre) was elected President, Frank Chen (left) was elected Vice President (Student Support), and Ayush Garg (right) was elected Vice President (Education). No students ran for the position of Vice President Student Activities, so a by-election will be held for this role in late April.
