The University’s Marketing Communications team are looking for current students to join our team of Student Content Creators, to create content for our social channels that reflects your life as a student.
The closing date for applications is tomorrow (Thursday 16th January 2025) at 11.59pm, so there’s still to apply.
How to apply
We’d like you to create a short video (no more than 1 minute long) introducing yourself and what you’d like us to know about you. You could tell us about why you chose to study at UofG and share any ideas you have about the kind of content you’d like to produce and why.
Remember to make sure that you can be clearly heard, and check the message and picture is clear.
Please upload your introduction video to YouTube, Vimeo or any file sharing site (Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, WeTransfer etc.) and complete the application form, including the link to your video.
You can also share any public social accounts you have (Tik Tok, YouTube, Instagram, Weibo, BiliBili etc.) or content you have created in the past that you’d like to share as examples of your work, by including the links on your application form.
About the role
This opportunity is open to enthusiastic UofG students from all backgrounds, programmes and levels of study. Ideally, you’ll be active on social media, but you don’t need lots of experience or subscribers.
You’ll get paid to give us your take on the things that matter to you and future students. As well as creating videos, vlogs, reels and shorts, you’ll have the chance to get involved with takeovers, livestreams, live Q&As, promotional videos, photoshoots and lots more!
This role is flexible and fits around your studies. You'll be paid £12.60 per hour, and you’ll gain CV-boosting skills, build your confidence, connect with other students and work on projects that have a real impact.
Please note: if you are selected to become a Student Content Creator, you will be asked to attend an introductory session for 2 hours on either Tuesday 28th or Wednesday 29th January so please ensure you are available on one of those days.
You will be informed by Friday 24th January if you have been selected. Good luck!
