We are looking to hire voluntary editors for the sixteenth edition of Groundings Undergraduate, an accredited, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary academic journal for University of Glasgow students conducting research in the arts, humanities and social sciences.

There are multiple positions available on our Editorial Board, and we will provide successful applicants with hands-on experience in editing and publishing research on a range of topics.

Groundings UG offers a place for students at Glasgow to have their work published and to participate in producing and managing an academic journal. Volumes are published annually, and a call for papers will be made later this semester.

Applications will open from 08:00 on Thursday 10th October. To apply, head over to GUU Libraries, and you will find an application form under the “Groundings UG” drop-down menu.

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must be enrolled at The University of Glasgow during the 2024/2025 academic year. We will be accepting applications from both undergrad and postgrad students. The deadline for applications is 23:59 on Monday 21st October, after which you will hear back from us within two weeks.

We look forward to receiving your applications! If you have any questions, please do reach out to us. Additionally, if you want to take a closer look at the Journal or its past editions, take a look at our site.

The above events will also run alongside our weekly events: the Monday Beer Bar Quiz, Tuesday Speaker Training, and Open-Mic Fridays.

See you at the GUU soon!
