What is the SRC?

We’re your representative body on campus made up 50+ elected student officers whose job it is to represent the student voice at the very highest levels of decision making at the University.

In the upcoming elections on Thursday 17th October, we have positions available for:

  • general and first year reps,

  • academic reps (for a variety of Schools & Colleges),

  • and a selection of welfare and equal opportunities reps.

No experience needed!

Just passion, ideas, and a desire to make your uni experience the best it can be. The SRC is your gateway to understanding how the University works, championing student issues, and being a voice for your peers. Plus, you'll meet incredible people, boost your CV, and have a lot of fun along the way.

Nominations are now open for you to apply!  The full details of how to nominate yourself and what it requires can be found on our website at: glasgowunisrc.org/elections.

Nominations close on the Friday 4th October (12pm deadline, then 4pm is the deadline for your sponsors, photo, manifesto, manifesto summary and student ID) so take time to think about this fully, and reach out to us with any questions by emailing elections@src.gla.ac.uk.
