Fraser Building Refresh
We are very excited to be refreshing the furniture on Level 3 of the Fraser Building! To allow us to install the new furniture, the study space on Level 3 will be closed from Wednesday 23 – Friday 25 February. Thanks for your patience, we hope you enjoy the new furniture!
Study safely
To help keep everyone safe in our Libraries and study spaces, the following protection measures continue to apply:
- Face coverings are mandatory at all times, including when seated, unless you are exempt
- Enhanced cleaning is in place, focusing on heavily used areas
- Hand sanitising stations are available throughout our buildings
By cleaning your hands regularly and wearing a face covering unless you are exempt, you will also be helping to keep our Libraries and study spaces open. If our staff become ill or need to isolate, we may need to close some buildings.
Use the UofG Life app
The UofG Life app will help you to make the most of studying on campus.
You can use it to see a list of available study spaces and check:
- Opening hours
- How busy each space currently is
- The facilities available in each space
You can also use the UofG Life app to book rooms for individual and group study.
It is particularly important to use the UofG Life app to check how busy each space is during exams and revision weeks. All study spaces are likely to be busier than usual at these times, but the UofG Life app can help you find the best place to study.
Use the Library anywhere
Wherever you can connect to the internet, you can use your GUID to access our electronic collections of over 80,000 e-journals and more than 1 million e-books.
Glasgow Anywhere is full of information and resources to help you study wherever you are. You’ll find a section on Using the Library with a list of online Library resources.
You can contact us through UofG Helpdesk if you have a question, but it’s best to search the ‘Get Answers’ section first, where most of the information you need is available instantly.
Get help on campus
If you have a question or need some help on campus, you’ll find our friendly Reach Out team in all our Libraries, the James McCune Smith Learning Hub and the Fraser Building. Look out for them in their blue t-shirts; whatever your question, they’ll help you find the answer.
Keep up to date
