Our International Student Support team talk about the events and support services they offer for International Students at UofG.
It has been a busy year for the International Student Support team, with five Orientation Programmes running this academic year for international students and international students who brought their families with them to the UK while they study.
In addition to those events to help get you settled into student life at the start of your studies, did you know that International Student Support also run events each month especially for international students?
We run a variety of cultural workshops, quizzes and information sessions – this year, we have had sessions including:
- Walking in Scotland
- Making a Doctorate Extension Scheme application
- Virtual tours of Scotland
- The Graduate Route
- Life as a UofG international student
- A virtual Burns Night and even live pancake-making!
We hope that joining these events gives you a chance to take a break from thinking about your studies, connect with our team and get involved with all that Scottish culture has to offer! All of our events are running online at the moment with a variety of start times, so you can join in whether you are in your home country or in the UK.

UofG international students can book a place on our events via our Upcoming Events webpage or via the Events listings here in the Newsletter. You can also join our Facebook page for updates and event reminders or keep a look out for our International Student Messages emails which are sent regularly to your student email address – so there are lots of ways to find out about what’s on!
