Middle East Conflict - University Support
Published: 16 October 2023
We are aware of the very distressing events and escalation of conflict in the Middle East, and appreciate this is a worrying time for many in our community. If you are affected or need support, the University has services available to you.
We have communicated with all students and colleagues since the deeply distressing events and escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
As a University, our thoughts continue to be with all those who have suffered and continue to suffer from the appalling terrorist attacks in Israel and the violence and humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza. We appreciate this is a very worrying time for many of our students and colleagues, and we are working to ensure that members of our community are supported as much as possible. We have been engaging with our Israeli and Palestinian students and colleagues, and we are continuing to engage with relevant student groups to offer help and assistance.
The University of Glasgow is a proudly diverse community, and we will never tolerate abuse of any kind, including antisemitism, islamophobia or racism. Our values demand that we create an environment where the beliefs and cultures of all are respected. If you experience or witness harassment of any kind, please report it via Dignity at Work and Study.
As a University we will continue to prioritise the wellbeing of our staff and students at this time. If you are affected and are looking for further support, the University has the following services available to you:

• Safety, health & wellbeing
