Job title: Student Listener Trainer/Supervisor 

Working hours: Tuesday – Thursday

I have spent just over twenty years working as an educator. This has included teaching English in secondary schools, working as a middle leader in Scotland and in an international school in the Philippines, and secondments focussed on improving the education of care-experienced children and young people with West Lothian Council and the Scottish Government. I qualified as a Psychodynamic Therapist at the beginning of 2022. I was delighted to accept the role PWS trainer and supervisor in August 2023, which I combine with my private counselling & training. 

Supporting students to learn listening skills, develop self-awareness, and combine these into mature and confident practice helping other students is a hugely satisfying part of my role, and one that I love! Outside of work, I enjoy time with family and friends, walking my dog, reading (and even now, studying), going to the theatre, and my guilty pleasure - eating crisps alongside some trash TV!
